Heidi received her J.D. and Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Before joining the office, Heidi was a Legal Research and Writing Specialist and then an Assistant Federal Public Defender at the El Paso Federal Public Defender’s Office. Heidi also worked as a Senior Attorney for U.S. Customs and Border
Protection and clerked for the immigration courts as part of the Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program.

Outside the office, Heidi enjoys spending time with her daughter and Saint Bernard.
