Joan has been with the Charlottesville Office since 2021. She has over 20 years of experience as a paralegal. She previously worked for civil defense firms in New York and brings significant trial and discovery organization experience. Joan supports both the Charlottesville AFPDs and the division’s appellate practice.

Following graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Political Science, Joan obtained an ABA approved Paralegal Certificate from Mercy College in White Plains, New York.

In her spare time, Joan volunteers for a horse rescue, spends time with her fur babies, Bayley and Phoebe, and loves to travel.
